About Us...

Here at You-Nique Photography, our aim is to produce images that are personal and relaxed. We always offer an initial, free consultation visit, where we can discuss your requirements with you beforehand and get to know you. We like to find out what interests you, what you love to do and where you are most comfortable just being yourself. Because we're not tied down to a studio, we are free to travel with you to any location of your choice to take your photographs. The location you choose could be your favourite place or somewhere that really means something to you, somewhere you have fun as a family or just somewhere you feel totally at ease. We will then work with you during your photography session, while you just relax and be yourself! You could be doing your favourite hobby, playing a sport, talking to one another, or simply sitting back doing nothing at all! Whatever you want your photograph to say about you, we will endeavour to portray this. Past clients have chosen settings such as parks, the beach and even their own kitchen! We endeavour to create natural images that display you at your best, reflecting your true personality and that lack even a hint of the usual run-of-the-mill, stiff artificiality of traditional studio photography. This means that your finished product is entirely YOU-NIQUE to you as a portrait. Oh and we also try to make sure you have fun in the process! BUT we don't just do portraits... From weddings to pet portraits, sporting events to parties, if you want it photographed then we'll capture those precious moments for you. Just contact us with your requirements. The finished product... Your final photographs will always be provided to you on a DVD or CD, without watermarks, for you to view at your leisure. You are then free to print them yourself, or, if you prefer, we can direct you to our online gallery where your prints can be purchased. We also offer albums which can be either a traditional album or a new style photobook, in which your photographs are printed onto the pages themselves rather than mounted. Any quotation that we give you will not usually include prints or albums (unless you specifically ask for this), as we see this as a restriction on you. We do not insist that you purchase a package from us that includes an album and only a certain number of prints, instead we will simply present you with your DVD and wait for you to decide. About your photographers... You-Nique Photography has two photographers, both of whom attend every photo shoot. This means that you get far more images and we rarely miss a photo opportunity. We are based on the south coast of Hampshire, an ideal central location, and are happy to travel to any location for your photographs. As we are a small company, we pride ourselves on providing a more personal service. Getting exactly what our clients want is always our aim, and if we can all have fun in the process, all the better! We work in the digital medium, but can and have used both B&W and colour film for assignments. B&W photos are printed in our own darkroom using good old-fashioned techniques. We will take on practically ANY photography assignment, however bizarre, mundane or challenging!
